Almost every state has developed Alternative Teaching Certification Programs for professionals (including attorneys) who want to become teachers.

(1) Google "Alternative Teaching Certification Program" and your state. Many states have multiple certification programs.

(2) Enroll in the best alternative teacher certification program for you. Some programs are conducted entirely online while others have you attend local college campuses. Most alternative teaching certification programs award probationary teaching certificates that become standard teaching certificates after receiving positive teaching evaluations for a year.

(3) Complete the training and pass the examination and you will be well on your way!
