Boutique Firm in El Segundo seeks responsible, proactive, bright 3-7 year attorney for associate position.  While currently more than 50% of the work is insurance defense (construction, premises liability, indemnity, personal injury) the firm is growing the following practice areas and anticipates them becoming the majority soon:  Education Law (representing students and teachers against school for discipline, expulsion, in-state residency, title 9) and Business Law (partnership, formation, dissolution, advice and counsel).  Substantive work includes drafting motions, appearances, hearings, depositions, and trial a couple times a year.  Must be team player, enjoy brainstorm strategy, and be able to take a practical joke.  Competitive pay, excellent benefits, flexible work schedule, remote working ok.

Boutique firm in Westlake Village seeks Part-Time Real Estate Transactional Associate with at least 5 years experience.  Non-stressful position reviewing leases, amendments, title, purchase agreements and other documents related to commercial shopping centers.  Includes some collections as well from tenants in the shopping centers.  Work remotely on as-needed basis.  Perfect for stay-at-home mom, partially retired, or disbarred attorney.  Competitive pay per hour.  Anticipated 16 hours per week (4 hours/day x 4 days/week).

Associate position at Century City boutique firm specializing in complex business, internet law, payment processing disputes and FTC issues. The position entails complicated briefing of cutting-edge issues, both domestic and international, involving trademark issues, copyright issues, DMCA and CDA claims and immunity matters as well as intricate questions of domain name technology and law. The position provides opportunity for independent case management, taking and defending depositions, oral argument and trial work. Clients include financial companies, affiliate marketing companies, art galleries and dealers and domain name professionals (registrars, registries, domainers, domain specialists and resellers). A successful candidate would have relevant experience in litigating matters in at least some of the above areas and a general understanding of internet law. At least 4-5 years of legal experience at a litigation firm is desired. Compensation is $140,000 plus, depending on experience.
